A Psychological Shift

Anytime you’re gonna grow, you’re gonna lose something. You’re losing what you’re hanging onto to keep safe. You’re losing habits that you’re comfortable with, you’re losing familiarity. That’s a big one, when you begin to move into the unfamiliar.

-James Hillman

Allow yourself to shift into a new vibration. You deserve a positive change. Allow yourself to shift into a new mindset, a new reality. You deserve the experience. There are many beautiful gifts awaiting you in life. Steer clear of negative road blocks and submerge into the warmth of positivity and abundance. Allow yourself to grow in these vibrations. Enjoy the psychological shift.
Update: September 9th 2015

Wow, I wrote that post almost two years ago and to see how far I’ve progressed is awesome. I always dreamed about being a writer/artist but just recently became serious about my craft. You know, I used to carry this false mindset that creativity could only be conducted in high energy places like a big city or somewhere with breathtaking scenery. But now I think that is a poor excuse, creativity can be found really anywhere. To break from that old way of thinking, I grabbed a notebook and started sketching the world around me exactly how it was. Whether I was in the suburbs of Plano, Tx or in New York City, I just started sketching. The more I practiced, the better I became. I started sketching buildings and furniture and then slowly transitioned to people and animals. I am now a little more focused on cartoon illustration so I can one day write children’s books. 🙂 Let me know what ya’ll think!

Happy Creating.
